Ixchiel Wilson.

Ixchiel has worked in Yorkshire in the NHS, private healthcare and education organisations since qualifying. Ixchiel is a core member of the Enable Therapy Services Team and holds the position of clinical coordinator which involves undertaking rehabilitation reports following injury and implementation their recommendations.
As a senior occupational therapist she is committed to placing the client at the centre of her holistic assessment and treatment. She is a committed advocate for clients wishing to maintain their functional independence. Ixchiel has a warm, sensitive and professional approach to all.
Ixchiel has worked with clients presenting with complex and multi-pathological needs in the hospital and community environments and has a breadth of experience to offer. She can undertake evidence based functional assessment of daily living skills including risk identification and assess client’s physical, cognitive, psychological, social and perceptual needs. She also has experience of case coordination and uses this to effectively support clients through their recovery following an accident and injury.
Her special interest is in the care of older people and those people who experience falls and balance problems. Ixchiel also has a particular interest in education, working to support students and teaching about the care of older people at the local universities.
As a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy and Health Professions Council she maintains her registration through continual professional development, attending supervision and she provides supervision to others
