Jo is a proud and passionate advocate for her profession, with a warm and professional nature. She has a first-class degree in occupational therapy and is always developing her skills and knowledge-base, seeking out training and resources to improve her clinical skills

She works with a wide range of people in mental health, learning difficulties and physical health settings and has varied experience working in occupational health and vocational rehabilitation within the NHS, private and voluntary sectors.

Jo provides specialist assessments for ‘complex cases’ such as autism spectrum, cognitive, mental health assessments or physical health functional capacity evaluations.

Within vocational rehabilitation she provides ongoing support to enable a person to retain their current post or provides vocational re-direction/re-engagement.

Jo feels that vocations are at the core of occupational therapy practice and supports people in both job seeking and job retention. As well as occupational therapy models, Jo draws on experience of life coaching, positive psychology, acceptance and commitment therapy amongst other approaches to inform her practice.
