Jenny is an experienced occupational therapist/case manager based at the head office in Leeds. Jenny has spent over 7 years in the NHS as an occupational therapist working in a variety of community and hospital settings, qualifying from Sheffield Hallam University in 2009. She has gained experience in neurology, rheumatology, orthopaedics, MSK, falls, dementia, mental health, amputations, bariatric care and palliative care. Jenny has worked as an associate for ETS since September 2016, and joined the team in her head office position in January 2017.
As a senior Occupational Therapist within the NHS, Jenny gained experience of working with clients with dementia and psychosis. As such, she has extensive experience of completing a variety of standardised and non-standardised cognitive assessments, capacity assessments and deprivation of liberty safeguarding (DOLS) assessments. She has a specialist interest in cognitive impairments and mental health.
Jenny is passionate about advocating for the patient and strives to be patient centred throughout her provision of treatment and intervention. She is a firm believer of providing appropriate support and signposting for carers and as such has a good knowledge of voluntary organisations across Yorkshire and the UK.
Jenny is currently completing her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy aiming to be qualified by 2020. She is HCPC and BAOT registered. Jenny is a committee member of the RCOT specialist section for work and is also the specialist sections regional representative for the North East and Yorkshire region. Jenny is also a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Society.
