Jo is an experienced Occupational Therapist who joined the Enable head office team in 2016 as a Case Manager. She qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 1996, and has worked in a range of NHS services and private businesses during this time.
She has extensive experience of working within community settings, often within a multi-disciplinary team, such as Social Services adaptations and community home rehabilitation teams. These have been pre-dominantly working with people who have a physical disability affecting their function and enabling them through rehabilitation and equipment to return to their previous level of function.
More recently, Jo has worked within a private organisation providing vocational advice and recommendations to employees and their employers to aid a sustainable and safe return to work.
Jo has a caring and friendly approach and ensures she listens to the holistic needs of each individual client in order to support and encourage them to ensure they reach their full potential. She is experienced in using a biopsychosocial approach and motivational interviewing to positively encourage her clients.
She is registered with the Health Care Professions Council and is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists.
