We are delighted to announce that Enable Therapy Services has officially become a strategic partner of the United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF), marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to improving brain injury rehabilitation across the UK.

A Natural Partnership

This collaboration represents a perfect alignment of our organisations’ core values and objectives. Enable Therapy Services brings extensive clinical expertise in neurorehabilitation, whilst UKABIF offers a powerful platform for advocacy and policy development in the acquired brain injury sector. The synergy between our teams is already evident, with shared priorities that include:

  • Enhancing understanding of acquired brain injuries
  • Promoting evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Supporting patients throughout their entire recovery journey
  • Advocating for improved services and support systems

Contributing To “Time for Change”

One of our first collaborative initiatives will be supporting the development of a new report which will provide an update of the Evidence Base and Cost to the Economy of Acquired Brain Injury contributing to the updated “Time for Change” document – a crucial framework document which will support our policy work that shapes policy and practice in brain injury care throughout the UK.

“We’re particularly looking forward to bringing our clinical perspective to this influential document,” says Becky Simpson, our Head of Neurology and ABI Services. “By incorporating insights from our direct work with patients, we can help ensure that policy recommendations truly reflect the realities of brain injury recovery.”

Looking Ahead

This partnership will enable us to:

  • Participate in critical working groups that influence national policy
  • Share our specialist knowledge with a broader audience of professionals
  • Learn from other experts within the UKABIF network
  • Contribute to research initiatives that advance brain injury care

Join Us On This Journey

We believe this partnership represents a significant step forward in improving how acquired brain injuries are perceived and treated, both medically and throughout the patient’s recovery period.

We look forward to keeping our clients, colleagues and the wider community updated on developments from this exciting partnership.
