Ixchiel is a friendly, professional, caring Occupational Therapist and the Clinical Operations Manager at Enable Therapy Services.  Leading the team of Occupational Therapists in the Head Office since 2010 to ensure all clients are provided with high quality, up to date evidence based rehabilitation case management support through their recovery and time with Enable Therapy Services.  Ixchiel also enjoys and successfully manages the Enable Therapy Services nationwide Associate Occupational Therapy Network

Qualifying at St Martins University College in 1996,  Ixchiel’s  career in Occupational Therapy and Case management has been in her adopted home of Yorkshire, working in the NHS, private healthcare and education organisations. As a senior occupational therapist she is true to her profession and committed to placing the client at the centre of her holistic assessments and treatment. She is a committed advocate for clients wishing to maintain their functional independence. Ixchiel has a warm, sensitive and professional approach to all.

Ixchiel has worked with clients presenting with complex and multi-pathological needs in the hospital and community environments and has a breadth of experience to offer. She can undertake evidence based functional assessment of daily living skills including risk identification and assess client’s physical, cognitive, psychological, social and perceptual needs. She also has significant experience of case coordination and uses this to effectively support clients through their recovery following an accident and injury.

Her special interest is in the care of older people and those people who experience falls and balance problems. Ixchiel also has an interest in education, working to support students and teaching about the care of older people and case management at the local universities.

Ixchiel is a member of the Health Professional Council and British Associate of Occupational Therapists.
